Hays CISD board adopts 2024–25 tax rate

CFO Randy Rau discussed the rate with trustees before the vote, addressing follow-up questions from Trustees Esperanza Orosco and Geoff Seibel. The board recorded the approval as part of the consent of action items for the fiscal year. The meeting minutes state that trustees had "no further discussion" after the motion was moved and seconded.
The tax rate adoption moves the district into its budgetary planning for the year ahead. The board did not specify in the minutes any changes to the rate from prior years; the meeting record lists the item as "Consideration and possible adoption of the 2024-2025 Tax Rate."
