Board re-approves policy DCE(LOCAL), sets committees and considers calendar changes

The Groesbeck ISD board re-approved board policy DCE(LOCAL) on Nov. 18; Trustee Jason Milstead moved for re-approval and Trustee Jim Longbotham seconded, with the motion recorded as unanimous. Later in the meeting Board President Aslone Foy announced committee assignments: the Facility and Safety Committee will include Aslone Foy, Bridgett Jackson-Tatum, Jim Longbotham and Stephen Bradley; the Policy Committee will include Angela Crane, Sindra McLean and Jason Milstead.
Foy also recommended that two to three trustees attend the Thompson Superintendent Academy in Austin Feb. 21–23. Trustees discussed rescheduling the Jan. 27 board meeting due to a Mid-Winter Conference and listed optional dates to be decided at the Dec. 16 meeting.
