TAHER reports increases in school meal participation; Chef Rosh visit planned

Christina Smith, a TAHER representative, told the Groesbeck ISD board that participation rates improved across several meal categories: lunch participation rose by 8 percent, a la carte sales rose 43 percent, and adult meal purchases increased by more than 70 percent. She said afterschool meal revenue is being tracked and breakfast remains an opportunity for further growth.
Smith also described upcoming programming: TAHER is bringing a "Chef Rosh" visit to the high school and plans to run its "Chef by Design" activities. Trustees recognized students from the Red Goat Café and named Teachers of the Month across district campuses during the same portion of the meeting.
