Committee approves hires, bids and donations; accepts large community donations and awards FY2027 service contracts

The committee approved FY2027 procurement awards for roof repairs and maintenance services (BPS202604) and refrigeration and air-conditioning services (BPS202616), and it approved regular and special meeting minutes from June. The 2026'7 student-parent handbook was approved as amended to reflect North Middle School's uniform decision.
On personnel the committee approved hiring Jordan Cruz as supervisor of attendance (an item originally placed on the April agenda and deferred for budget timing); members also discussed several planned RFPs and IFBs for capital planning and in-district special-education transportation.
Committee members recorded their appreciation for volunteers and community partners who organized the backpack distribution and other gift-in-kind support.
