MassDEP: DBE goals no longer tracked, but federal 'six good faith efforts' still required

Selby told attendees that the agency is "no longer tracking our DBE goals, which were the disadvantaged business enterprise vendors," but stressed that grantees must still follow the federal "6 good faith efforts" when procuring goods and services to ensure socially and economically disadvantaged businesses have access to federally funded projects.
She encouraged grantees to document efforts to meet the six good faith efforts, explained that MassDEP will not track those goals as in the past, and pointed to the state's Supplier Diversity Office list of certified vendors as a resource for identifying DBEs.
