Commissioner Natalia Macker moved to approve the amendments with edits recommended by staff, striking the clause requiring "Completed at least ninety (90) days of employment" so the preference reads, "First preference will be given to all full‑time employees who are employed in good standing, and hold a position designated as a First Responder as defined in Section 4‑18.C.h," and to add the new First Responder definition; Commissioner Len Carlman seconded.
The motion carried 4–1, with Commissioner Wes Gardner recorded in opposition. Public comment on the item was given by Hank McKinnell.
