Commissioner Crystal Quandt said she had been in contact with Mary Dunn at the State, who provided examples (including Norwich) and a blank template to help draft the RFP. The commission reviewed a timeline: roughly one month to solicit qualified consultants after issuing the RFP, selection at a regular HDC meeting, and about two to three months of revisions with the chosen consultant. Commissioners discussed creating a one-stop website for HDC resources, new language for Building Department procedures regarding the historic district, and a GIS map of Suffield; they agreed the RFP should include links to existing documents and websites. The vote to proceed was recorded 4–0.
