The Cleveland County Board of County Commissioners awarded Bid COM-2168 to Streets LLC Oct. 6 to install seven new air curtains at entrances to the courthouse and the Election Board. The work is funded through an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) project and the award was made on the recommendation of purchasing staff.
Chairman Jacob McHughes, acting on recommendation from Keri Lyles, moved to award the contract; Commissioner Rusty Grissom seconded and the board voted unanimously to approve the award. The meeting record lists the award as ARPA-funded and shows the motion carried with all three commissioners voting yes.
The award was recorded during the unfinished business portion of the agenda and no amendment to scope or budget was reported at the meeting. Purchasing will proceed with the vendor to finalize contract documents and scheduling for installation.
