Shoreham names Edward Brickley Climate Smart Communities coordinator to pursue grants

The Board of Trustees voted Jan. 14 to appoint Edward Brickley as the Village of Shoreham’s Climate Smart Community (CSC) coordinator. Trustee Nancy Delagi said the formal appointment will make Brickley the official liaison to the Climate Smart Communities program and help the village accumulate points in the CSC system that can improve grant eligibility.
Delagi told the Board that naming a coordinator "would make him our official liaison to the Climate Smart Communities program, as well as coordinating associated climate mitigation and adaptation activities." She said Brickley has already acquired complete drainage maps from the village’s engineering firm and that the CSC will coordinate with The Shoreham Village Association to advance an adopt-a-drain effort begun at Earth Day last year.
