The Village of Shoreham Planning Board opened a Nov. 24 work session to consider a minor subdivision application for 9 Tower Hill Road from applicant Mohammed A. Siddiqi. Chair Bob Sweet said the session would review an application to split the approximately three‑acre parcel into three lots sized 40,138 square feet, 58,655 square feet and 31,729 square feet in the split Residence A and Residence B zoning districts.
Building Inspector Brad Hammond told the board there is "plenty of land to divide into three plots," and stated no variances were necessary for the proposed split. He added that exterior building designs on the resulting lots must be reviewed by the village Design Review Board for compatibility with the village character. The board noted the applicant and project contact did not attend the meeting and that required corrections and clarifications will be requested in writing before the application proceeds to a public hearing.
