At the Aug. 3 meeting the Webster City Council approved several contracts and purchases to support public works and utilities operations. The council passed Resolution No. 2026-075 authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Planer Bros. Crushing, LLC for 2027 concrete crushing services in an amount not to exceed $60,000.00. The motion passed on a unanimous roll call.
The council also approved Resolution No. 2026-076 to purchase a 2026 Vermeer AX17 Brush Chipper from Vermeer Iowa for the Electric Utility for $72,900.00 plus taxes, and Resolution No. 2026-077 approving Task Order No. 9 with DGR Engineering for professional engineering services related to the municipal electric system arc flash assessment update for $43,000.00, authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement. Finally, the council adopted Resolution No. 2026-078 accepting and approving acquisition of property generally located at 1111 3rd Street. All measures passed by recorded roll call votes with members present voting aye.
"It was moved by Marvel and seconded by Allers that Resolution No. 2026-075 authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Planer Bros. Crushing, LLC for 2027 Concrete Crushing Services in an amount not to exceed $60,000.00 be passed and adopted," the minutes state. The approvals vest administrative authority to the City Manager to execute the listed contracts and purchases as authorized by the council.
