Kaufman ISD approves final amendment to 2023–24 budget and certifies 2024 tax levy

The Kaufman ISD Board of Trustees approved a final amendment to the 2023–24 budget and also approved the 2024 Tax Levy and Summary of the Certified Tax Roll during its Aug. 26 special meeting. Vice President Christine Borders read the motion to approve the final 2023–24 amendment; Trustee Casey Townsend moved and Trustee Linda Mott seconded, and the motion passed 5–0.
The board later read and approved the 2024 Tax Levy and the Summary of the Certified Tax Roll; the motion to approve the levy was moved by Casey Townsend and seconded by Trustee Lindsey Abell and carried 5–0. The meeting record does not list details of the certified roll in the minutes beyond approval.
