The Kaufman ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve the 2024–25 KISD Budget during a special meeting on Aug. 26. Vice President Christine Borders read the suggested motion; Trustee Lindsey Abell moved and Trustee Elizabeth O'Donnell seconded. The motion passed 5–0.
The budget approved at the meeting follows the figures presented during the public hearing earlier that evening. Grant Miller, chief of finance and operations, had described a proposed $59,158,196 spending plan covering the General Fund, Food Service Fund and Debt Service Fund. The board recorded no public speakers during the hearing that accompanied the budget presentation.
