Stonington board adopts Ordinance 25-704 levying taxes for 2026–27 fiscal year

The Village of Stonington Board of Trustees unanimously adopted Ordinance 25-704 at its Oct. 6, 2025 regular meeting, approving the tax levy for the fiscal year commencing May 1, 2026 and ending April 30, 2027. President Bruce Dowdy asked for a motion; Trustee Andrew Callan moved and Trustee Tammy Wilson seconded. The motion passed with a 5–0 vote.
The ordinance was introduced as a standard annual levy action. The Board did not record an amendment or separate discussion in the minutes. The vote was recorded as five "Yea" votes and no opposition. The ordinance appears on the agenda under the President's Report and will be filed as approved in the minutes.
