Following a closed session under statutory section 2(c)(1) on personnel matters, the Village of Davis Junction board reconvened in open session and approved additional compensation for parks employee Brody Cook.
The board authorized a $1-per-hour increase to bring Brody Cook's hourly rate to $20 effective Nov. 1, 2024, and approved a pay plan that awards additional $1/hour increases upon presentation of credentials: acquisition of an aquatics license, a turf license, an ornamental license, and a CDL would each trigger an additional $1/hour increase upon proof. The motion was moved, seconded, and adopted by roll call.
Trustees praised Brody's progress toward required certifications and asked staff to record proof of license acquisitions for payroll updates. Staff said they expect documentation and payroll changes to follow within the next pay periods.
