The Cleveland County Board voted Oct. 14 to award Bid #HD‑2171 for one‑year lawn care services covering multiple Health Department locations and the county wellness center. Chairman Jacob McHughes moved, on the recommendation of Purchasing, to award to Archway & Ash Landscaping even though that vendor was not the low bidder; Commissioner Rod Cleveland seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The contract term is Oct. 14, 2025 through Oct. 13, 2026 with the option to renew up to two additional years. Purchasing staff presented the recommendation; the board did not discuss dollar amounts on the record beyond acknowledging the procurement rationale.
