Jim Ned board adopts Policy Update 126 covering dozens of local policy revisions

Superintendent Will Brewer presented the update, which the minutes list as including numerous local policy revisions such as BE(LOCAL) and BED(LOCAL) on board meetings and public participation; CJ(LOCAL) and CJA(LOCAL) on contracted services and background checks; CQB(LOCAL) and CQD(LOCAL) addressing technology resources and artificial intelligence; CSA(LOCAL) on facility safety and security; as well as multiple employee and student welfare policies (for example, DFBB(LOCAL) on nonrenewal, DH(LOCAL) on employee standards of conduct, and FFAC(LOCAL) on wellness/medical treatment).
Trustees voted 6-0 to adopt the multi-policy package. The minutes record passage but do not include the text of individual policy changes; district staff are responsible for publishing the local policy updates and implementing procedural changes where required.
