Jim Ned CISD honors staff and students; Tip of the Spear awards presented

The Jim Ned CISD board opened its Nov. 13 meeting with staff and student recognitions. Richard Payne and Richard Cumby led presentations honoring High School employees Clint Corbin and April Colley with Texas National Bank "Tip of the Spear" awards and acknowledging students who qualified for the UIL State Cross Country meet.
Coaches Dustin Todd, Blake Allen and Lanny Prentice were on hand to recognize the cross-country qualifiers, and Cumby introduced the Jim Ned Ag Issues team, which gave an award-winning presentation. "Tip of the Spear awards were presented by Mr. Richard Payne to High School employees, Clint Corbin (teacher) and April Colley (auxiliary)," the minutes record. The recognitions were presented before the board moved into routine business.
