Monterey County Office of Education receives clean audit for year ended June 30, 2025

Christy White & Associates presented the independent audit of the Monterey County Office of Education for the year ended June 30, 2025. Kyle Montgomery, partner with the firm, told trustees the financial statements received an unmodified opinion, meaning the auditors found the statements free from material misstatement, and the federal and state awards compliance opinions were likewise unmodified.
Montgomery noted the report is comprehensive (about 90 pages) and highlighted that there were no findings for the financial statements, federal awards or state awards sections. Trustees thanked audit and business teams for timely cooperation and asked a few clarifying questions about the required supplementary schedules and budget comparison pages.
