"We will not allow a division 1 stadium in our backyards, period," she said during her remarks.
Speakers from streets adjacent to the field described repeated flooding events, requests for broader stormwater mitigation, loss of tennis courts and the potential disruption to the Concordia Conservatory and Chapel School during construction. Several residents urged explicit, enforceable conditions (no rentals, restricted hours, no scoreboard, no amplification) if the board allows any approvals to proceed beyond the SEQRA lead-agency step.
