After two volunteers came forward for vice chair and each spoke briefly about their qualifications, the commission approved Commissioner Singh for vice chair. A nomination and vote for chair followed; the commission approved a candidate who said they planned to "continue the initiative I started last year as chair," including more community outreach events and a focus on delegating tasks so other members can gain leadership experience.
The selections were handled by motion and raised-hand votes. Staff closed the officer-selection items before moving on to the commission's activities list and calendar.
