Trustees address community events, electronics disposal, missing sign and tornado-siren concern

Trustee Tara Ramsey reminded the Board about the Marilyn Wattelet Memorial Scholarship benefit scheduled for Jan. 17, 2026 (volleyball, silent auction, bake sale) and of a Stonington alumni event at the American Legion on Jan. 24, 2026. She also raised a concern about a missing street sign at Main Street and Division that the Board said it would follow up on.
Trustee Andrew Callan asked where residents can take electronics now that the Village no longer accepts them; Office Manager Kari Scott advised that Christian County residents may take electronics to BLH for free. Trustee Tammy Wilson asked why the tornado siren did not activate during a recent weather event; Trustee Jeff Graham said the Stonington Fire Department confirmed there was no imminent threat to the village at that time.
