The Kenedy County-Wide Common School District Board of Trustees met Feb. 26, 2025, in the Sarita School Board Room and, noting a quorum, convened at 7:05 PM under Board President Felix Serna.
Board members unanimously approved a slate of routine and substantive items. Motions approved included the minutes of the Jan. 15, 2025 meeting; an Interlocal Student Transfer Agreement with Riviera ISD for the 2025-2026 school year; a resolution on employee pay during weather emergencies; Update 70 to the TASB Regulations Resource Manual (with revisions tied to Localized Update 124); authorization to engage MoakCasey and Associates, Inc. for school-finance consulting; approval of a payment from EC&R Development, LLC to cover revenue losses tied to a Limited Appraised Valuation Agreement; and a contract for election services with the Kenedy County Elections Administrator. All recorded motions were moved and seconded by trustees and passed unanimously.
The meeting included reports from Superintendent/Principal Kristen Tinsley on the monthly financial statement, bank reconciliation and investment report, as well as upcoming events and training opportunities. There were no members of the public present for public comment. The meeting was adjourned at 7:57 PM.
