Trustees approve TASB delegates, appraisal calendar and consent items

President Drew Peterson read a suggested motion to appoint trustees as delegates to the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB). Trustees approved Casey Townsend as delegate and Byron Gregg as alternate; Christine Borders moved, Byron Gregg seconded, and the vote was 7-0.
The board also approved the Kaufman ISD appraisal calendar (motion by Byron Gregg, second by Elizabeth O'Donnell) and approved the consent agenda. Items on the consent agenda included minutes from June 10 (regular meeting), June 18 (workshop), and July 25 (special meeting), an Adjunct Faculty Request, a Resolution of Extracurricular Status for the 4-H Organization, an Adult Meal Price Increase, and the TASB RMF Insurance Coverage Renewal-UC. The consent agenda passed with a 7-0 vote (moved by Byron Gregg, seconded by Lindsey Abell).
