Commissioners award multiple district support grants for road and sewer work

The board voted to award District Support Grants from the Optional One Percent Sales Tax to several Improvement & Service Districts for local infrastructure work. Commissioner Jim Ford moved approval of the Crestview Improvement & Service District grant for $50,000 for sewer system repair and lagoon abandonment; Commissioner Kelley McCreery seconded and the motion carried.
Other awarded grants include Stonegate ($19,508.25) for crushed limestone, road blading and mag chloride; Oriva Hills ($34,263) for scoria roadbase and blading; Little Thunder ($26,978.50) for limestone, blading and ditch work; Means, Carter, North Hannum ($5,080) for mag chloride dust control; Brunsen Road ($6,680); Bennor Estates ($5,243.90); Pineview ($1,558.22) to install a water distribution meter; and several others. Each approval was recorded as unanimous in the minutes.
