Planning Board recommends 6-foot privacy fence at 7586 N. Fitzhugh to Zoning Board

The Village of Sodus Point Planning Board unanimously recommended that the Zoning Board consider an application from Christine Holdraker to install a 6-foot solid privacy fence, 136 feet long, at 7586 N. Fitzhugh Street where a 4-foot fence is allowed. Chair Bruce Evener said the Holdrakers must appear before the Zoning Board on Oct. 15 to seek final approval.
Board members asked whether the fence would be vinyl and whether adjacent trees would be removed; the Holdrakers said some rear trees would be removed to accommodate the fence. William McKee asked whether neighbors had been consulted; Mr. Holdraker said he did not know and the Holdrakers agreed to speak with neighbors as suggested. The board cited Village code (CODE 190-22(g); 121-4) as the applicable standard and moved to forward a recommendation to the Zoning Board. "The Holdrakers need to speak to the ZB on the 15th," Chair Bruce Evener said during the vote. The motion to recommend to the Zoning Board passed unanimously (Evener, McKee, Fogarty all voting aye).
