Town Superintendent Jamison Livermore asked the board for funding to oil-and-stone 1.5 miles of Potter Road with an estimated cost of $45,000, saying the town currently has about $30,000 left in accounts without FEMA reimbursement or additional sales tax revenue. Supervisor Corey LaSalle said the general fund did not have extra funds and the board decided not to approve the project at this time unless FEMA reimbursement arrives.
Separately, Livermore requested approval to purchase a woodchipper. Councilperson Greg Smith moved to authorize up to $10,000 from the machinery fund for a woodchipper; Brian Guernsey seconded the motion and the vote was recorded as 'All Aye.' Livermore also noted the town might seek approval for a "claim bucket" if a time-sensitive deal arises and would contact board members if immediate approval is needed.
