Superintendent Jake Heberling reported that Shelby Electric will park trucks at the sewer plant while installing fiber and, in exchange, will rock the lane at the sewer plant. Heberling said the lift station has been installed and the crew has installed roughly 1,400 feet of tile around town, including about 90 feet near the tavern and 900 feet near Nolen’s shop; Ben Briggs will install another lift station by the little ditch and pump under the bridge at no cost to the Village, though a tree on private property must be removed to permit installation.
President Bruce Dowdy reminded trustees that TIF funding runs through 2034 and that funds must be allocated to projects before the TIF expires; he said the Village will begin reviewing infrastructure priorities, including replacing some water lines, so accrued TIF funds can be used before the district ends.
