Board approves consent agenda and unanimously allocates 67 DCAD votes to candidate Mike Hennefer

The Lake Dallas ISD Board of Trustees approved a multi‑item consent agenda by a 7–0 vote. The consent agenda included approval of the Oct. 21, 2024 minutes; monthly financial statements; investment account signatures; an easement with Oncor Electric Delivery Company; and unsolicited donations to the district. The motion was moved by Bruce Smith and seconded by Mark Tucker.
Later in the meeting, the board considered a resolution to cast its allotted Denton Central Appraisal District (DCAD) votes. Superintendent Dr. Kristin N. Brown explained the district had 67 votes to allocate for the DCAD Board of Directors and reminded the board that resolutions must be submitted to the DCAD chief appraiser by Dec. 13 because the statutory deadline (Dec. 15) falls on a Sunday. It was moved by Aaron Appleby and seconded by Greg Bartley to allocate all 67 votes to Mike Hennefer; the motion passed 7–0.
Both motions were recorded as formal board action in the meeting minutes.
