Supervisor Daniel Marshall reported on a recent meeting with the Canandaigua Emergency Squad and presented a document acknowledging the Squad's authority under New York State to serve South Bristol. Marshall said the town does not currently pay the Squad for service; the document is intended to record mutual understanding that the Squad may legally operate in the town.
On a motion by Councilman Jim Strickland and Councilman Scott Wohlschlegel, the board approved the acknowledgement document recognizing Canandaigua Emergency Squad's operation in South Bristol. The motion passed unanimously (5–0).
