Highway Superintendent Jim Wight reported routine mowing, ditch work and storm cleanup and asked the board to approve purchasing a replacement mower for in-town maintenance. Wight described the current fleet—a 2013 Exmark used regularly and an older 2006 Scag that needs replacement—and said the new machine is available on a state-bid contract.
Supervisor Daniel Marshall discussed pricing with Wight and noted the listed cost was $19,000 with a $3,800 discount, yielding a purchase price of $15,129. On a motion by Councilman Jim Strickland, seconded by Councilman Stephen Cowley, the board approved buying the LexMark/X Mount from Brodner Equipment for $15,129. Voting AYE: Marshall, Strickland, Cowley, Fuller and Wohlschlegel (5–0).
