Shore Drive resident asks board to inspect Cartwright Farms property over permits and signage

Chuck Ryan, a Shore Drive resident, asked the board to inspect 5687 Shore Drive (Cartwright Farms), saying Code Enforcement has been involved but the situation has escalated. "There is a gate that was installed, a sliding gate with bunting that has old beat-up LeChase signs, keep out, PB required, LeChase has nothing to do with this project," Ryan said, and noted an expired permit and heavy equipment on the site that could confuse emergency responders.
Supervisor Daniel Marshall and Councilwoman Meg Fuller said they would visit the property in the near term. Ryan told the board he had emailed Town Clerk Judy Voss earlier in the evening and said residents are reviewing options outside the town while continuing to work with Code Enforcement. The board did not take immediate enforcement action at the meeting but earmarked an on-site visit and continued Code Office follow-up.
