Skaneateles Planning Board continues public hearing on Keith Falkenberg's Tallcott Lane site plan

The Village of Skaneateles Planning Board on Feb. 5 reopened a public hearing on an application by Keith Falkenberg to demolish the existing structure at 3 Tallcott Lane and build a new 4,239-square-foot residence with 4.5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and a two-car attached garage with a bonus room above. The application seeks variances from Section 225-A5 (Density Control Schedule) and Section 225-69D (Non-conforming Buildings, Extension or Expansion). The meeting convened at 6:00 p.m. at Skaneateles Village Hall with Chairman Stephen Hartnett and Members Connie Brace, Albert Giannino and Melissa Komanecky present; Member Martin Custer was excused.

Board members and the applicant discussed the history of the project and an ongoing engineering review. Applicant Keith Falkenberg and his representative, Bob Eggleston, told the board the engineering review remains in progress. Chairman Stephen Hartnett moved to reopen the public hearing; Member Connie Brace seconded and the motion was carried unanimously by members present. Later in the meeting, Member Brace moved to continue the matter until the engineering review is complete and to adjourn the public hearing; Member Melissa Komanecky seconded and the motion carried 4-0. The board took no substantive votes on the merits of the application at this meeting and set no new hearing date; the matter will return to the board after the engineering review is finished.
