She said parents are willing to pay a transportation stipend to cover added mileage if the district cannot fully accommodate the change. The superintendent said the district will consult legal counsel about the request and will notify families and students once the district has guidance; he also said athletic‑eligibility and other details will be clarified in follow-up communications.
