Lake Travis ISD introduced an updated employee-recognition program, the LT High5 Award presented by High5 Lakeway, and named the first-round recipients at the Nov. 20 board meeting.
The program will recognize three district employees five times a year for service that positively impacts students, colleagues, parents or the community. The inaugural recipients named in the minutes were Gary Waller (Monitor, Lake Travis Elementary School), Andrea Rivera (CTE Health Science Technology Teacher, Lake Travis High School) and Sullins Stuart (Web & Multimedia Services Specialist, Central Office). The minutes state there is no official nomination form; any employee may nominate a colleague by emailing the Executive Director of Communications & Community Relations, and nominees are reviewed by the Superintendent’s Cabinet.
The award is sponsored by High5 Lakeway and is intended to encourage peer recognition across the district; the item was informational and presented as special recognition during the meeting.
