The board approved appointments and personnel-related resolutions on Jan. 13. Among the administrative calendar actions, the board appointed Kathleen P. Murray as Registrar of Vital Statistics for Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2026, and Kimberly DiVittorio as Deputy Registrar of Vital Statistics for the same period. The board also appointed Janet Powers to the Town of Hempstead Labor Advisory Council.
A resolution to adjust the compensation of the Deputy Supervisor was introduced (appearance by Pearl Jacobs). Deputy Supervisor Dorothy L. Goosby recused herself from voting on that item. A separate resolution to transfer and modify various funds in the 2026 budget was brought forward on motion of Councilmember Dunne and seconded by Councilmember Schneider and was tabled for further review.
