At the Nov. 20 meeting, the Lake Travis ISD Board of Trustees approved Resolution No. 112024-01 to assign the district’s 190 allotted votes in the Travis Central Appraisal District Board of Directors election to candidate John Havenstrite.
Trustee Lauren White moved to approve the resolution and Trustee Rob Aird seconded. The minutes describe the vote-allocation process: Lake Travis ISD is entitled to 190 votes that may be split among nominees, votes must be formalized by board resolution and received by the Travis Central Appraisal District Chief Appraiser by Dec. 14, 2024. The Chief Appraiser will count votes submitted by participating entities and declare results before Dec. 31, 2024.
The board approved the resolution by a vote of 5–0. The minutes record the resolution’s passage but do not include the ballot form or the district’s internal deliberations leading to the vote allocation.
