Local Law No. 1-2026 (regulations and restrictions to limit parking in Elmont & North Merrick) and Local Law No. 2-2026 (parking or standing prohibitions in Elmont, North Merrick, Seaford, Wantagh and West Hempstead) were adopted after no members of the public spoke on the items. The board also adopted Local Law No. 3-2026 (arterial stops in Garden City South & Woodmere), Local Law No. 4-2026 (prohibition of left turns in Baldwin & Elmont), Local Law No. 5-2026 (gross weight restrictions in West Hempstead), Local Law No. 6-2026 (school speed limits in West Hempstead), and Local Law No. 7-2026 (a school speed limit change in Lido Beach). Case No. 21397 was continued and Local Law No. 8-2026 was adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 10-2026.
Most items were presented to the board with no public speakers; motions to close the hearings and adopt the laws were made and carried by unanimous roll call. The board also approved handicapped parking locations (Resolution No. 9-2026) for Baldwin and Franklin Square.
