Lindsay ISD administrators outline enrollment, schedules and tech readiness for fall

Elementary Principal Tawni Smith told trustees the Meet the Teacher/Back to School Bash is scheduled for August 7 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM and noted a small number of new registrations. High School Principal Brett Phipps reported a projected enrollment of 237 students and highlighted that FCCLA competitors earned silver medals at nationals.
Finance Director Jessica Reiter said utility costs were down $1,114 compared with the same time last year and tax collections are approximately 99.27% of estimated collections; certified property values were expected by the end of July and the annual audit is scheduled for Aug. 25–29. Technology Director James Moats reported new computer lab machines, a new server in an air‑conditioned room, second‑grade Chromebooks ready, and that a fiber cut to the high school during construction has been repaired.
