The Cherry Valley-Springfield Central School District Board of Education approved a consent agenda at its Nov. 6 meeting that included financial transfers, service agreements and a range of personnel actions.
The board approved three interfund transfers totaling $91,000 (A2250400 → A2280490: $18,000; A2250490 → A2110490: $30,000; A2110120 → A2259490: $43,000). The board accepted a $1,400 donation from the Cherry Valley‑Springfield Endowment Foundation for an inclusive‑space program, and approved special‑education agreements with Cobleskill‑Richmondville Central School and Charlotte Valley Central School for the 2025–26 school year. Agreements with service providers — including a speech‑language pathologist (Tina Caswell) and Bassett Medical Center Occupational Health Services — were also approved.
Personnel actions on the consent agenda included the creation of a long‑term substitute teacher aide position (effective Oct. 27, 2025) and the appointment of Valerie Bell to that role through June 26, 2026. An LPN/Aide position created effective Oct. 30, 2025 was filled by Shannon Carley on a probationary appointment through Oct. 30, 2026. The board also approved extracurricular coaching and stage‑lighting assignments, after‑school peer mentor and instructional substitute listings, and volunteer approvals for the 2025–26 year. Motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Erin Seeley and seconded by Megan Bosc; the motion carried unanimously.
