Lampasas ISD board adopts Construction Manager at Risk delivery method for facilities project

The Lampasas Independent School District Board of Education voted May 5 to adopt Construction Manager at Risk as the selected method of delivery for an upcoming facilities project. The resolution was moved by Sam Walker, seconded by Harvey Stinnett, and passed with all board members present voting yes.
The board also approved a separate delegation of authority that permits the superintendent, in consultation with the facility committee, to negotiate with and enter into contracts with a board-approved architect and to seek and rank proposals for a Construction Manager at Risk. The board later selected WRA as the architectural firm and authorized the superintendent to execute the contract in consultation with the committee.
