Chazy board approves hires, accepts resignations and grants tenure to special-education teacher

Following a closed executive session on personnel and student matters, the Chazy board moved to approve multiple personnel items. The board approved Lena Tregan as Eagle Buddies advisor at a stipend of $593 and approved Tyler Wilson as an uncertified substitute teacher at $140 per day. The board accepted the resignation of Matt Devins from the Gold Club advisorship effective immediately and as Technology Teacher effective Jan. 23, 2026.
The board also granted tenure to Christie Wood in the Special Education tenure area, effective Nov. 11, 2025; approved Nancy Vesco as the 2026–27 school tax collector; and appointed Rhonda O’Hagan and Sandra Langlois as bus aides effective Nov. 11, 2025. All motions were recorded as carrying unanimously.
