At its Nov. 11 meeting the Chazy Union Free School District Board approved two cooperative athletics agreements with Beekmantown Central School District for the 2025–26 school year. One agreement merges girls bowling programs; the other merges boys ice hockey. Board members said the applications carry no additional cost to Chazy beyond league administrative fees, and the board authorized the superintendent and board president to sign the paperwork.
The motions were introduced by board members (Mr. Giroux moved for the girls bowling application; Mr. Howley moved for the boys ice hockey application) and were seconded and carried unanimously. The approvals permit Chazy students to participate on combined teams under NYSPHSAA Section VII rules for the upcoming season.
