The Krum ISD Board of Trustees ratified resignations and approved employment contracts for administrative personnel for the 2025–2026 school year at its March 19 meeting.
Trustee Kaci Cook moved to ratify the resignations presented in closed session; Trustee Brooke Fouts seconded and all present trustees voted aye. Later, Trustee Brooke Fouts moved to approve employment contracts for administrative personnel for 2025–2026 as recommended by Superintendent Dr. Cochran; Trustee Nick Vincent seconded and the motion passed unanimously among those present.
The board also approved applying for a waiver to employ Bryan Gaines as Krum High School assistant principal. Trustee Brooke Fouts moved the waiver request, noting Gaines "holds a master's degree in curriculum but has not completed his administrative certification"; Trustee Kaci Cook seconded and all present trustees voted to approve seeking the waiver for an 11-month probationary contract for the 2025–26 school year.
These personnel items were taken after a closed-session discussion under Texas Government Code Chapter 551 concerning personnel matters. The board's recorded votes show unanimous approval among the five trustees present.
