“I move to accept the resignation of Superintendent Janee Carter, effective November 17, with appreciation for their service to the district,” the motion stated; Justin Ramm moved and Orville Gentry seconded. The motion passed on a 7–0 vote.
The board then voted to appoint Deputy Superintendent Nate Compton as Acting Superintendent, effective Nov. 18, with “all duties and responsibilities of the Superintendent role, until such time that a permanent Superintendent is selected.” Nikki Haynes moved the appointment; Justin Ramm seconded. The appointment passed 7–0.
The actions followed the board’s executive session, which the minutes record as covering personnel, real property and attorney consultation under cited sections 551.074, 551.072 and 551.071. The voluntary exit agreement and the appointment are intended to provide continuity while the district searches for a permanent superintendent.
