The board approved multiple NYSPHSAA Section VII combining-of-teams applications for the 2025–26 school year: to merge cheerleading with Northern Adirondack Central School District, to merge boys swimming with Ausable Valley Central School District, and to merge boys and girls indoor track with Beekmantown Central School District. Each motion authorized the superintendent and board president to sign the applications and noted there would be no additional cost to the district beyond league administrative fees.
Separately, the board approved an addendum to the National Honor Society membership handbook requiring NHS applicants to submit multiple letters of recommendation, with at least one recommendation coming from the teacher in the prior year (generally grade 10).
Board members recorded unanimous approval on these items and noted the agreements allow students to participate in combined teams where individual-district participation would be insufficient for a standalone program.
