The board also recognized a long list of community partners who sponsored this summer's Fill the Bus project and the Back to School Bash, including the City of La Porte, La Porte Police Department, La Porte Fire Department, La Porte Emergency Medical Services, the La Porte-Bayshore Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of La Porte and several nonprofits and business partners.
The presentation and recognition highlight the district's use of community partnerships to support students and families during school startup and district-supported fundraising oversight.
