Krista Ringer, the district’s elementary school principal, updated the board on start-of-school activities and upcoming events, saying faculty plans include quarterly grade-level meetings focused on data and student progress.
Ringer recognized nurse Becky Hubbell for her work at the start of the year and noted a Seagull Theater performance for grades K–8. She outlined fall field trips: 2nd grade to Babbie Farm; 1st grade to Miner’s School House; 3rd grade to Point au Roche; and Kindergarten to Miner Farm. Ringer also described plans for a K–3 Halloween parade and said Drug Free Week is scheduled for Oct. 27–31, 2025 with staff members Cory Thompson and Kathi Thume coordinating activities.
The principal asked the board to support continuing quarterly grade-level meetings to monitor data-driven progress and family engagement through ParentSquare and other channels.
