Codes officer outlines review steps; board to seek training credit for members

Town Codes Enforcement Officer Howard Tanner explained at the Sept. 17 meeting that the Planning Board’s concerns about the Staehr property had been submitted to the Cayuga County Planning Board and that the board is awaiting NYS DEC’s Site Review Plan before any local decision. Tanner said the DEC could request additional studies — including a traffic study — and reminded the board of options to retain professional support during public hearings.
The board approved the Aug. 20, 2025 minutes by motion (moved by Donna O’Hara; seconded by Cathy Dreverman; motion carried). Karen T. Luziani said she would check with Town Clerk Kathy Wilde about providing one hour of training credit to board members who attended the meeting because of the information provided by Tanner.
