During budget planning discussion on Aug. 19, County Administrator Dee Dee Rentmeister said staff need direction on whether proceeds from the sale of the marina must be deposited in the general fund or could be allocated elsewhere. Dan Matthews asked Rentmeister to consult the state's attorney about legal constraints on the proceeds; the issue will be placed on the full board agenda for decision.
The committee also discussed a Circuit Clerk request to use ARPA funds to replace carpet and install a service window and suggested those items could be paid from the depreciation fund. A prior request from Paramedic Services of Illinois to revise its fees was brought forward but there were no new budget figures and the committee agreed to revisit the fee proposal next month. A budget meeting was scheduled for Sept. 24, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.
